Jim the Lumberjack is my most recent project! I box modelled him in Maya before taking that mesh into zBrush and adjusting the shape to something more lumberjack-y! From there I began the texturing process which was done in a mixture of 3D-Coat, zBrush, Mudbox and Photoshop. After a lot of back and forth between these programs and their different tools, I started setting up my shaders, lighting, and composition in Renderman! Somewhere between there I also did some very basic rigging so I could put Jim into a very simple pose.
The final step I took was using Nuke to composite all my passes together.
Overall, this project was a lot of fun, and I really got to improve on a lot of my skills like compositing in Nuke and rendering.
He is also up on my website!
